Back in mid September 2016 via their security blog Google announced that they were going to start moving towards a more secure web. They laid out plans for the Google Chrome browser (which is the most popular browser in the UK) to start displaying warning messages for any pages which aren’t secured by an SSL certificate.
As you will undoubtedly know, the world of “digital” is always changing and evolving, digital marketing and SEO in particular change on a weekly basis, heck even a daily basis! One of the biggest changes to emerge has been the use of “Schema Markup” for websites. But what exactly is it and how can it be used?
For many years the industry has been repeatedly bashed over the head with an old adage… “Content is King”. Recently we have been working with an eCommerce company who specialises in Performance Car Parts, they have a website built on Magento and had recently redeveloped their website ready for 2017. However, as soon as the site had switch to the new design their rankings plummeted.
By now the Google mobile update which has been dubbed “Mobilegeddon” should be well and truly being rolled out… or is it? I tweeted out this morning to see if anybody was reporting changes in the mobile rankings, but nobody came back to me, not one person!
