What Is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?

Search engine optimisation is optimising a website so that it ranks higher in search engines. In other words, so that your site shows up when your potential customers search for products, services or keywords relevant to what you do.

On-site SEO is all about making sure that your actual site is optimised for search engine crawlers: bots that go through the code of a site to determine its content, quality and relevance.

On-site can be split further: into technical and content. Technical SEO essentially makes sure that the code of the site is all correct and functioning so that search engines can access all the pages properly.
