Hello, I'm Andy...

I am the Founder and Managing Director of Kumo, a Digital Agency based in Nottingham, UK. I am also the co-founder of Evolution Media Marketing, a small web design agency specialising in SMEs and start-ups.

In 2021 I also set up a small drone videography and photography company called Stratos Drones.

I have been working within the web industries since 1999 and have a wealth of experience in all avenues of digital marketing. I have worked as a Digital Marketing consultant since 2004 providing SEO and Pay Per Click marketing campaigns to my clients throughout the UK. I also provide small business website design services using the WordPress CMS, primerily using Elementor or Breakdance builders.

My professional career, so far.

I built my first website in 1999

I first got involved with the “web” way back in 1999 when I built my first website for a friend’s aunt. The company was (and still is) Regal Furnishings, I’m proud to say they are still a client of mine to this day.

My first job working for a company in 2004

My first real job in the web industry was with a company called LeenTech based in Nottingham, I was employed as a website designer initially but with the rise of SEO I soon found an interest in helping our client’s website rank higher within the search engines, I began learning SEO in 2004 before Google was prominent, the search engines back then were AltaVista, Ask Jeeves, Excite, Infoseek, Lycos, and Yahoo and numerous others.

Adtrak 2005 - 2012

I joined a small print-based marketing agency based in Edwalton in Nottingham, working from a garage… The company was called Adtrak, I joined as their first “web” guy. I helped to build the company and develop their web teams eventually leaving in 2012. During my time there the web departments grew from just me to around 40 staff, I’m proud to say I had a hand in interviewing and managing this huge team.

Adtrak has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the largest agencies in the UK.

eCommerce Manager at Tower Health, 2012

Following my time at Adtrak I became the Ecommerce Manager at a Nottingham-based health company where I managed a small team.

The Web Design Group (TWDG Ltd)

In 2011 I set up a company called The Web Design Group, where I would work closely with other freelancers to deliver Website design and digital marketing services to clients throughout the East Midlands.

I went full time with the Web Design Group and asked Mathew Porter to join me as co-director towards the end of 2012, we have been growing the agency ever since.

Myself and Matt still run TWDG Ltd.

The Web Design Group Becomes KUMO in 2017

The Web Design Group underwent a rebrand in 2017 to become KUMO Digital, we are still trading under this name… We switched our focus of the company to offer SEO and Pay Per Click services and continue in this form at present.

Evolution Media Marketing Ltd in 2019

I set up another web design agency in October 2019 providing start-up business website design services, I enjoy working with small businesses and start-ups. This is a real passion of mine and is where I started my entrepreneurial journey back in 2011.

Stratos Drones in 2021

In 2021 I set up a small drone company called Stratos Drones, initially to compliment the services already on offer to existing clients, I began offering videography and photography services.

Stratos Drones has since grown and offers services to new clients, generating new business throughout the East Midlands.

When im not working...

I am a father of 2 boys.
